The Best Smoked Turkey Recipe for Thanksgiving

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Wash turkey and pat it dry.
  2. If you have the time, after turkey has been patted dry, place in refrigerator uncovered for 3-4 hours (this will help remove any remaining moisture on the skin).
  3. Prior to putting turkey in the cooker, remove turkey from refrigerator and apply olive oil on the skin of the turkey (the entire bird).
  4. Orion Pork and Poultry seasoning on the turkey.
  5. Put Orion’s Poultry blend of custom wood chips between the drip pan and cooking cylinder.
  6. Place turkey on poultry stand and place in cooker. . NO LIQUID in the drip pan.

Note: Cook time, 7 minutes per pound. Enjoy!!
